This contest is open to any retail or wholesale florists or students and can be an individual designer or group entry representing a shop or school.
Contestants must have a full or conference registration to the 2017 Annual Floral Design Show. Contestants must pre-register.
Applications must be postmarked by Friday, March 10, 2017.
Entry fee is $35.00 Set up time is Friday, March 24, 2017 from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
This year the Tablescape Design Contest will be held in the Fountain Room on Friday and will remain in place to be viewed during Saturday’s lunch and cocktail reception and all day Sunday. The design is to interpret the conference theme, “Flora Burlesque” and will be designed for a 60” round table for 8 guests. Each entry will be provided a 60” round table with a white linen to be used for the contest. Contestants must provide all flowers, materials and props including table linens, if used. No electricity can be used but battery operated props are allowed. A panel of judges will determine the winners with 1st place receiving 100% of entry fees collected; 2nd place 2018 Annual Floral Design Show full registration; and 3rd place 2018 Annual Floral Design Show regular hands on class. ISFA or the DCCH will not be responsible for any materials or props used in the contest. All tablescapes must be removed Sunday between 1:00 – 3:00pm.
